The controller uses a high-quality TRIAC semiconductor paired with advanced zero-crossing detection circuitry to ensure stable dimming from 0-100% without visible flicker, even at the lowest brightness settings. The trailing-edge mode is optimized for electronic LED drivers, while the leading-edge mode provides compatibility with magnetic transformers for legacy systems.
A built-in soft-start function gradually ramps illumination to the target brightness over 0.5 seconds, protecting LED drivers from inrush current stress and extending system lifespan. Over-temperature protection automatically reduces output if the controller exceeds 85°C, and short-circuit protection prevents damage from wiring faults. The minimum brightness threshold is adjustable via an internal potentiometer to match specific LED driver characteristics.
